Tea beneath the stained-glass dome

115 years of Afternoon Tea

For over 115 years, The Palm Court has been New York City's iconic destination for Afternoon Tea. Renowned architect Thierry Despont renovated the room true to its original intent — potted palms, trellis detailing, cane-accented furnishings, and the signature soaring stained-glass dome reminiscent of the 1907 original. Today it serves tea by Palais des Thés and inspired American fare from morning through evening. This season, the Fifth Avenue Federalist Tea honors the nation's 250th anniversary with pastries, savory creations, and specialty teas influenced by eighteenth-century flavors.
