Does Invisalign really work?

Straighter teeth without a mouth full of metal
Invisalign is the world's most popular clear aligner system — over twenty years of innovation, more than nine million smiles delivered, including over 2.3 million teens. Patients favor it for a discreet, almost invisible appearance, and for many patients it delivers results almost as quickly and efficiently as traditional metal braces. Each patient receives custom-made aligners in Invisalign's patented SmartTrack material, worn 20 to 22 hours per day.
Not everyone is a candidate: it is intended primarily for minor to moderate issues such as overcrowding, spacing or improper bite alignment, and severe orthodontic conditions may still call for braces. Candidacy starts with a physical oral exam and a 3D scan of the entire smile at the Kendall office.
Invisalign questions, answered
How long do the aligners need to be worn each day?
20 to 22 hours per day — removed only when necessary, such as eating or drinking anything other than cool water.
Is Invisalign only for teens?
No — it is appropriate for both teenagers and adults. The teen version adds a small color-changing dot that tracks how often the aligners are actually worn.
Is everyone a candidate?
No. Invisalign is intended primarily for minor to moderate issues such as overcrowding, spacing or improper bite. During the smile assessment the team conducts an oral exam and a 3D scan, and discusses alternatives if Invisalign isn't the right fit.
Who provides Invisalign at the practice?
Dr. Lyan Zamora and Dr. Danny Peña are both certified Invisalign providers.
