The bakery case at Shepherd is handmade for you — croissants plain, multigrain, chocolate or almond, cinnamon rolls, big chocolate-chip and macadamia cookies, and muffins in banana nut, chocolate chip and blueberry. The cake shelf covers everyone: French cakes, homemade cakes, and whole versions in vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free. For the after-lunch crowd there are cannoli two for $4.99 and macarons two for $6.00 — best next to an affogato or a cortadito from the espresso bar.
