From Havana to Miami — why I build
I learned to build where resources were scarce and ingenuity wasn't.
Havana, 2004. I entered the University of Informatics Sciences — Cuba's national IT university, where you study and ship production software at the same time. I graduated third-best of my faculty, with honors, having already led a student team and shipped real systems.
Then came a decade of learning how businesses actually run: ERP modules used by hundreds of companies in Ecuador. Insurtech systems processing thousands of inspections in the U.S. Title automation at Doma. Every stop taught the same lesson — commerce runs on workflows, and most of them are broken.
In 2020 I bet on myself: Adjuster X, bootstrapped to ~$1M/yr. Smart Technologies Lab, 100+ businesses brought online. And in 2025, everything converged into Echify — because the tools I kept building one client at a time should exist as one platform, powered by agents, for everyone.
