Made 100% from scratch

A beer garden with a real kitchen
Beer garden food usually means a pretzel and a shrug. Steins built a New American kitchen instead, and makes everything 100% from scratch. The pretzel is here — fresh-baked, jumbo, with spicy mustard and sweet tomato jam — but the menu runs a lot further: baked wings with bleu cheese, ahi tuna nachos with mango salsa, a slow-roasted tri-tip sandwich with chimichurri on ciabatta, and hand-cut sea salt fries. On the entrée end it gets genuinely ambitious for a place with 31 taps — breaded pork schnitzel with mushroom & parmesan spaetzle, herb-crusted lamb rack with harissa potatoes, truffle-infused gnocchi, and lobster linguini in garlic cream. Save room for the skillet cookie: baked to order, served hot with vanilla bean ice cream, worth the 15–20 minute wait.
