Buyer Terms

Last Updated: July 18th, 2026

Draft — under legal review. This document describes how buying on Echify works today, but it is not yet the final legal agreement.

1. Who You Are Buying From

Every purchase on Echify is a purchase from an independent seller. Echify is the platform, not the seller. Depending on how the seller processes payments, your card statement will show either an Echify-processed charge ("processed by Echify") or a charge from the seller's own Stripe account ("charged by the seller via Stripe"). Checkout tells you which applies before you pay, so you can recognize the charge on your statement.

You pay exactly the listed price. Platform fees are paid by the seller, not added to your total.

2. Verified Sellers

The verified badge means Echify has checked that the person or business behind the profile is who the profile says they are. It is an identity check, not a guarantee of quality, delivery, or fitness. Only verified businesses can publish catalogs, and only sellers with active payment accounts can accept your money.

3. Refunds

Refunds are issued back to your original payment method. Sellers fund their own refunds. If a seller's balance cannot cover a refund you are owed, the refund enters a pending state: we notify the seller, may pause their ability to take new charges, and keep you informed until it is resolved. If you believe a seller is not resolving a refund in good faith, contact Echify support from the order screen or at support@echify.com — unresolved cases can be escalated for review.

Individual sellers may state their own return policies on their items. Where a seller policy is silent, contact the seller first through the order chat; Echify support is the escalation path.

4. Deposits, Invoices, and Payment Requests

Some services charge a deposit at booking, with the remaining balance requested later as an invoice from the seller. Invoices and payment requests you receive by link or email are payable through a secure Echify page. Check that the page address is on echify.com and that the business name matches who you expect to pay. Echify never asks for your card details by email or chat.

5. Chargebacks and Disputes

If something went wrong, contacting the seller or Echify support first is usually faster than a card dispute. Disputes filed with your bank are handled through the card networks; the seller bears the dispute outcome. Abusive or fraudulent dispute activity may lead to account restrictions.

6. Guest Purchases

You can buy or pay an invoice without an Echify account. Guest purchases are covered by these same terms. Order confirmations and receipts are sent to the email you provide at checkout.
