Creator Terms

1. What Creator Commissions Are

Sellers can attach a commission percentage to items. When a purchase is attributed to content you shared, you earn that commission. Commissions are paid by the seller out of their sale — the buyer never pays extra. The commission rate for an item is shown to you before you share it.

2. How Attribution Works

• A purchase is attributed to the display (post or share) the buyer actually viewed in their session, while that view is unexpired.
• If you shared your own original content, you earn 100% of the item's commission.
• If you reshared someone else's content, the commission is split 50/50 between the original creator and you.
• Buying through your own share does not earn a commission, and purchases made with your own payment methods are excluded from attribution.

3. When Earnings Accrue and Reverse

Commission accrues to your balance when the order is completed, not when it is paid. If the order is later refunded or disputed, the commission reverses out of your balance. Your balance history shows every accrual and reversal: which item, which post, which order.

4. Using Your Balance

• Spend in-app at checkout on goods and services on Echify — no fee.
• Pay out to your bank through a connected Stripe account — a 10% payout fee applies. Paying out requires: a verified account, payouts enabled on your connected Stripe account, a tax form (W-9) on file, and a minimum balance of $25.

Your balance is an obligation Echify owes you, not a stored-value account: it cannot be topped up, transferred to another user, or cashed out except through the payout path above.

5. Taxes

Commission payouts are income to you. Where required, Echify will collect a W-9 before your first payout and issue a 1099 form when your annual payouts cross the reporting threshold. Nothing here is tax advice.

6. Fair Play

Self-purchases, coordinated reshare rings, view-stuffing, and other schemes designed to farm commissions are prohibited. Echify may withhold or reverse commissions earned through manipulation and may suspend accounts involved. Attribution rules and velocity limits may be tuned over time to keep the program fair; material changes are announced with in-app notice.
